Our Story
In February 1998 Mr. G S Basavaraj, a first-generation entrepreneur, founded V B Associates (VB), a debt collection agency based in Bangalore, India.
Under Mr. Basavaraj's dynamic leadership, VB experienced consistent growth and emerged stronger after three recessions in 2000, 2008, and 2020.
During the pandemic, VB opened eight new offices in Bangalore, Mysore, Hubli, Chennai, and Hyderabad. Overall, VB now has 13 offices, with seven in Bangalore, two in Mysore, and one each in Mangalore, Hubli, Chennai, and Hyderabad. The company recruited over 200 new employees during the pandemic, bringing its total staff strength to 400+.
VB's focus has always been to nurture talent with passion and performance driven by values and compassion. Mr. Basavaraj has nurtured a culture at VB where the average employee tenure is over five years. G S Basavaraj

Mr. G S Basavaraj is a first-generation entrepreneur and the Founder of V B Associates (VB), a debt collection agency based in Bangalore, India. He holds a double degree in commerce and law (LL.B) and is the grandson of Late Sri Gubbi Veeranna, a noted theatre personality in Karnataka.
Before founding VB in February 1998, Mr. Basavaraj worked with multinational non-banking financial company ESandA FinANZ & Leasing Finance Limited (a subsidiary of ANZ Grindlays Bank Plc) and Kotak Mahindra Primus Limited in Bangalore. Under his dynamic leadership, VB has seen not only good consistent growth but also emerged stronger after three recessions in 2000, 2008, and 2020.
Mr. Basavaraj has nurtured a culture at VB where the average vintage of employees is over 5 years. He has focused on nurturing talent with passion and performance driven by values and compassion.
Mr. Basavaraj is not just a successful businessman but also a philanthropist. He believes in giving back to society and is associated with various social and cultural organizations in Karnataka.
Mr. Hemaantkumarr, the Chief Executive Officer of VB Associates is a highly experienced banking and financial services professional who has been with V B Associates since 2017. With a degree in Commerce from Bangalore University and over 22 years of experience in the BFSI industry, Hemaantkumarr has held various leadership roles with leading multinational banks and NBFCs.
During his career, Mr.Hemaantkumarr has gained exposure and expertise in marketing and sales, product development, core branch banking, and more. He has played an instrumental role in enhancing the brand value of V B Associates and has been responsible for formulating the company's vision, mission, strategic direction, and growth.
As CEO of V B Associates, Mr.Hemaantkumarr has been the driving force behind the company's success, working tirelessly to ensure that it continues to be a leading vendor for multinational banks, national banks, NBFCs, and fintech companies. He has been instrumental in shaping the company's organizational structure, leading the growth of its various business verticals, and cultivating a culture of passion, performance, and compassion.

Mr. G. B. Arjun, the Chief Operating Officer of VB Associates, is a second-generation entrepreneur and co-founder of Rebecca Business Services Pvt. Ltd. (RBSPL). His journey in the business world began when he joined VB Associates as a debt collector. Mr. Arjun has always been passionate about the financial industry, and he pursued an MBA from the prestigious Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS), specializing in Banking and Finance.
After completing his MBA, Mr. Arjun ably supported his father, Mr. G. S. Basavaraj, in his business and managed portfolios like American Express, Citibank, ICICI Bank, and Indusind Bank. He is also a certified Debt Recovery Agent, which adds to his impressive skill set.
Mr. Arjun's entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen have helped him take VB Associates to the next level. His strategic thinking and leadership skills have been instrumental in ensuring the company's growth and success. Under his guidance, VB Associates has recruited over 200 employees during the pandemic and currently has a staff strength of over 400.
Apart from his impressive professional accomplishments, Mr. Arjun is a sports enthusiast and a fitness enthusiast. He is also an avid traveler and has explored several exotic destinations across the world.

Mr. Ravikumar S S, the Chief Experience Officer of VB Associates is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the banking and financial industry. He joined VB Associates on September 4th, 2019 as the Product Head for the American Express process, and has since then played an integral role in the company's growth and success.
Mr.Ravikumar holds a degree in Engineering with a specialization in Industry & Production from Karnataka University (Dharwad). He started his career as a tele-caller and worked his way up the corporate ladder, eventually becoming the Centre Head for Retail Banking with Citigroup Global Services (formerly known as e-Serve).
Throughout his career, Ravikumar has worked with prominent financial institutions such as HSBC, ABN Amro Bank, and Citigroup Global Services. He has a strong background in collections of Credit Cards, Personal Loans, Auto Loans, Home Loans, and Home Credit for Karnataka and Kerala.
In recognition of his contributions to the company, Ravikumar was elevated to the position of "Chief Experience Officer (CXO)" for VB Associates. As CXO, he oversees the company's customer experience initiatives and ensures that customers receive the highest level of service and satisfaction. Ravikumar's leadership and expertise have been instrumental in driving VB Associates' success and establishing the company as a leader in the financial industry.

Advocate Hiran Krishnaswamy, B.Com, ACA, LLB, LLM, CFE (USA), the Chief Legal Advisor of VB Associates, brings a wealth of experience in corporate, tax, banking, and adversarial litigation. Prior to his legal career, he spent over 8 years in the finance sector, including roles with EY India’s Fraud Investigation & Dispute Settlements team and as an audit consultant for prominent banks like SBI, Indian Bank, and Syndicate Bank. Notably, he provided expert opinions for SBI at the pre-litigation stage.
Krishnaswamy has garnered recognition for his achievements, including receiving the Lex-Falcon Global Award in 2023 for excellence in Litigation and Taxation. He has secured favorable judgements in significant cases, such as Y. B. Shamanna & Anr. v. The Authorized Officer, UCO Bank & Anr., 2023, and Sri A Manoharan v. The ITO, 2023. His practice extends across diverse areas, including Admiralty, tax, corporate, criminal, civil, matrimonial, and custody cases.
As the founder of M/s Swamy & Kumar Associates, Krishnaswamy leads a law firm specializing in litigation, offering comprehensive legal services to corporate entities. He holds memberships with the Karnataka State Bar Council (Membership No.: KAR/1109/2021), the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (Membership No.: 237204), and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (Membership No.: 684619). With his unique blend of legal and financial expertise, Krishnaswamy is dedicated to providing effective dispute resolution and legal counsel to his clients.
